Welcome to all those who find their
feet grow itchy after only a short while of inactivity.
Join our intrepid and sometimes misguided adventurer as he traverses and quite often stumbles his way around the globe with next to no planning while in search of adventure, new sights, and a "whatever happens next is fine" modus operandi.
Perhaps you have the opportunity to relieve your itchy feet and can learn from our travelers mistakes, or you travel vicariously along, all the while enjoying the comforts of your armchair.

Starting at Gatwick airport, Paul, our "Permanent Tourist" decides it's time to bypass London, visited many times before, and search out new experiences. Heading north to his father's boyhood home, a little village outside Wolverhampton, just on the outskirts of Birmingham, he is returned to the train station by the local police. From there it was on to Wales for a bit of "Train Spotting" (very British), a quick trip over to Dublin to hang with U2, zip over to the Paris Air Show, and back to the UK for a wedding.

Yeah, so he grew up in Sydney, but he hasn't seen much of Aussie at all. Paul takes the opportunity to brush on the beginnings of the OUTBACK during a trip from Brisbane to Sydney. Normally one takes the Pacific Highway in a near straight line, but not our man. "Taking the scenic route Mate!"

Ever been on a minibus where the driver thinks he's Mario Andretti? Paul has.
Ever witnessed the scenery on both sides of the Equator in a single glance? Paul has.
Ever woke up at 6am on your "vacation" to catch a train that hasn't been running in months, Paul has.

Imagine growing up in the USA and only seeing three states by the time you're 44 years & 360 days old. Well, we fixed that before 45 years had passed. In fact Frank celebrated # 45 with a hike through Bryce Canyon.
Lima, Peru. It's another big city, but it's the port of entry for "Gringos," and a starting point for our "Machu Machu" to visit Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital, Machu Picchu, and destinations beyond. "Somebody tell me why I ended up using my High School Spanish to translate for a bunch of Israeli kids trying to book a jeep tour through the desert in San Pedro de Atacama, northern Chile?"

Hammock: $10, Cargo barge ticket for two nights and all food: $20, Waking up in my hammock watching the Amazon jungle go by: Priceless!!!

Including Scotland, Finland, Kazakhstan, more of South America, Australia, and the USA.
Also, how about a 12,000 mile voyage of discovery "In the Footsteps of Lewis and Clark,"
and "Six Weeks in Europe."
