If you have a second drive for your LE system in a second tray, you'll probably need to format it and install XP, then LE, and stop there...

If you need to install other programs, such as Photoshop, & other 3rd party software that adds to LE's power, try using LE by itself for a few days, then install one program at a time, use/test LE to see if it acts differently..

If LE starts to act strangely, you know it's the last

program that you installed, adversely affecting it...

A final thought....  You now (hopefully) have a second C: drive for LE....

You should always have another drive D: for your media.  A 7200rpm, 8MB cache drive, either another HD inside your computer, or an external firewire drive such as;

This Lacie 500GB Firewire drive.

I highly recommend buying a high quality, high speed firewire drive such as this Lacie, as they are equipped with the Oxford 911 Chipset, which ensures a fast throughput, or to say that another way, a high speed connection.

I had a consultation with 2 ladies, who had purchased retail store cheap firewire drives.  Nothing but trouble until we replaced them with internal drives....
